Moving a Brunswick Windsor

The room is plenty big but it's an odd shape and the issue is leaving room for an area for lounging around, reading or watching tv. A dual function room. I will need to envision how other furniture would fit into the room with the table sitting in various spots.

And the issue of preferring not to hire somebody that might have to make two trips is paying him twice. Just my nature not to waste money when I can do something myself. It doesn't seem that a pool table would be something delicate or super complicated. Update before posting... I just watched a youtube on moving a table, it doesn't seem like any super skill is involved. And I am only moving it to the house next door. Yep, bought the house next door! My brother will move into my house.

Get a mechanic to move it and set it up all at once.
If you move it yourself you will more thn likely regret it

Thanks. The LED lights are actually multi-purpose. I've had a few people that tripped over the step down. So I mounted a motion sensor and put the LEDs on a smart plug. So when someone walks into the room, the LEDs light up.

I have just about everything in the room wired into Smartthings and Alexa. I can walk into the room and tell Alexa to put on a show and the TV turns on and tunes into that show. I tell her to turn on the pool table and the light goes on. I tell her to put on the A/C and the minisplit starts up. I can tell her to turn on the dart board and the board, its laser, and the spot light all come on. Now I just need to be able to tell her to show me how to make my shot and get position.

I have also purchased an old projector to mount to the ceiling with am Amazon Firestick. I'm waiting to install it though. Now I want a short throw projector so I can aim it at the table. I'm hoping to find a duel mount that will flip between the wall and the table.

If so, It's not high end table. It would cost more to hire someone than the table is worth.
Speaking as a Pool Table Technician, I see no reason for you NOT to move it yourself. Just take your time, look everything over, and determine the best way to take it apart.

Hints:
  • Remove the pockets first
  • Remove the rail bolts
  • Pull the entire top assembly off the table, and flip it over for easier access
  • Do not remove the slate liners (boards attached to the underside of the slates
