MR break format

I spent a long time figuring out the MR break format from a single point, and it allows pretty decent success rate for the 1-ball and a shot after. Playing from the farthest corner on either side of the box, hitting through the 1-ball in line with the second ball of the rack, inside spin, 70%-ish power... When I switched to pool, I only really played using the MR break shot, and found something that worked for me, worked on developing that and didn't look much beyond that.
But Actually, I've noticed something that a few players with a decent break are doing. It allows them to maneuver the ball inside the box to any point and essentially vary the break off speed between softer and harder breaks as they see fit, and it's quite simple. I see Ko brothers, Filler, Shaw and couple others seem to do this by my eye. Tried it myself, and it works. Maybe it was placebo in just figuring it out and putting it into practice, but I certainly felt it in the sets I played last night, I had a couple of BnR's and generally played well.

Can any of you tell what it is?

In the PLeague going on now, they use the box corner and might be doing something contingent on the 2 ball unless the spread they get will cover it.

I think what I've noticed allows them to place the ball wherever they like in that box and better adjust speed into the pack, all while maintaining the 1-ball into the side with consistency. That way, they can play to the specific table/cloth speed, rather than having a strategy that may or may not work on some tables.

With the CB in a fixed position, you perhaps have less versatility in the adjustments you can make. When you can move it to different areas in the box, you can be more flexible with speed, and obtain different angle for the CB on the way out off the pack with better potential for a shot after.
That is if you are playing it the way these players are.

I've seen the players mentioned earlier all do this during the current PL event. Curious if anyone has spotted the same thing.
