Mwah! Another session victory

Just finished up 8-ball playoffs in my APA division last night - took it 3-zip with the stronger of my 3s taking the final win, beating the other team's captain, a 6 - he was NOT shooting well at all. Of course, this is the same 3 I threw up against another team's 7 in playoffs two sessions ago, where the 7 sank the eight-ball early TWICE in THREE shots. :/ Maybe she's just got a guardian angel or something.

Now to try and make our way through the post-session team tournament while playing without my other 6 (who heads out of town today) and, starting out, without my two 3s (both have plans for part of Saturday). Grr!

Congratulations!

We just won top points for our division last night ourselves. This gives us a bye into the Citywide where we will play for the big trip west.

We only had to win two matches but we won four. The funny part is that the team we played last night was in the middle of the pack for a playoff spot, but now, after 19 weeks, because of our fourth win against them, they are out of the playoffs.

The reason this is funny is that they their team is run by a husband and wife who both play very well. (she had their only win last night) The husband is a suspiciously stong five and is by far the best player on their team. He has creamed every player we have thrown at him for the last two years, however, he didn't play last night because he went to the Bulls game, leaving his wife and team behind to play their most important match of the session without him.


I think he's gonna be sleeping on the couch for a while! lol
