Is that Burl or Snakewood?

I think the purpleheart handle would look nice with no wrap but that lizard skin is cool.

Just thought I'd share a pic of 2 cues that I have incomming.

I met Darrin and his wife at Pockets in Chicago recently and he was showing me some real lizard skin wraps...I think yours was the one he showed me. Great guy, great personality and great cue for sure.

Thanks for all the comments guys. The lizard is going on the Thula burl cue. The cue will also have 6 thula burl windows in the butt with veneer matching the points. Darrrin is also comming up with some interesting ringwork I can wait to see the results . I asked him about using the purpleheart as the handle and he stated that it is more stable than maple in his experiance and weighs and cost about the same so that is why he uses it even though it will be covered by the lizard.

The second cue is one of Darrins new full splice cues. I havent really spec'd much on that one yet so I'll just update the post as we progress.
