Here's pix of my new Ariel Carmeli custom Hoppe cue. I designed and kept this one for myself out of a group of cues just received. 19 ounces either shaft, 18.75 balance point. 4 veneers, black/peacock/light blue/white. Ivory joint sleeve,3/8-10 pin, ivory ferrules and Hoppe ring. The small diamonds in the points are also ivory. Plays similar to the Purpleheart South West I sold recently (my kind of hit, nice and stable but not too stiff). This cue and others from the group represent a change in direction from the standard AC "catalog" cues.

Thanks guys...I have to say I am pleasantly surprised how close the cue plays to the SW I used for the last year or so. I have no remorse whatsoever now for parting with a good playing SW. We're going to see more great cues from AC this year, some entirely new designs by summer.

Question plesae

How is the hit of the 1/2 legnth ivory joint compaired to the full inch? Is it harder or is there little noticable differance. Thank you sir. Nick

No real noticeable difference Nick. I also don't think there a big difference between 3/8-10 or similar flat-face joints.

Nice cue. I really like Bocote. Its a nice change from BEM and has excellent hitting characteristics.
