Here are the pictures of wood stock that I received from Dave and I decided to go with Pomelle Bubinga...:smile::smile:
:smile::smile:and with level 3 ringwork.Hope you like them since I really do
These progess pictures I received a few days ago.Not to mention how happy I was.
The cue should be finished in apx 40 days and Dave is absolutelly pleasure to deal with.
It should have nice Kangaroo wrap installed vey soon:smile:
Will post finished pictures as soon as I receive them.
Here’s picture of some woods. Some brown in color.
I’ll start with the round………
Madagascar Palisander ..very rare…hard to source anymore
Pomelle bubinga…pretty rare…kind of hard to really appreciate the figure in a picture of this wood. Much better held in your hand as it shows off different at different angles.
Honduran rosewood….has some fine black lines in it
Zircote….this piece is highly figured with what is referred to as landscape figure
The final 4 pieces are various pieces of Bolivian rosewood (pau ferro)…kind of straight grained. The one piece has a little elbow in it to show off show off some of the graining.
All of these are in natural state so they will darken with sealer and finish. The bubinga one has a clear coat on it to show the figure and is probably as close to finish color as any of the others.
