Even though I've had it for almost two years, here's some pics of the cue that I designed and Dave Jones built for me. Unfortunately, the overall shot has poor resolution but the other two are pretty good.

The butt and points are tulipwood, the inlays are ivory, the grip/wrap area is Thuya Burl, the forearm is a beautiful piece of irridescent curly maple that has a natural amber tone to it (which you can't see at all in the top picture, unfortunately), and the rings are bloodstone surrounded by nickel silver and set in black phenolic.

These pics were taken by Dave when the cue was just finished. The Tulipwood butt and points have since darkened a bit, which has helped with the contrast with the ivory inlays.

As am I Shorty.

I've sent another design in to Dave late last week for another cue... this one with Amboyna burl (red and blonde in alternating high/low points) and either Madrona burl or Thuya burl in the grip/wrap area.

If the red Amboyna burl isn't bright enough to contrast well with the Ebony forearm and butt, I'll go with Bloodwood instead.
