So I just wanted to write about the various shafts I've tried. Also give my own opinion on which one I liked the best.

Because for me, hit is the most important thing. With hit and feel, it tends to give me better control. That is the focus of these reviews. Therefore, I will list out the joints and tips used on these LD shafts to give it a frame of reference.

Predator Z2 (5/16 x 14, and metal 5/16x18, Uniloc, all Kamui Black Medium). the hit felt very dead. Everything hit with a dull thud, which I couldn't stand. They all felt the same across metal joints and non metal.

OB Classic Pro (Metal collar 3/8x10, moori medium) It had a really hard hit. Some feedback but it was pretty good. Liked how the hit was softened by a leather wrap, but all in all not a bad feel.

OB2 (g10 Radial, 3/8x10 wood to wood, Everest, then Tiger Hard) - I could not stand the everest across any cue. The hit is too soft for my tastes. With the tiger hard, it took some adjusting, but I felt it was better overall. Similar to the Classic Pro with moori medium. Currently use this as my backup.

Predator Z1 - I don't know know if it's the lack of phenolic insert, or the standard lepro tip, but this is my favorite hitting LD shaft It seems to have just the right touch and feel for me. Slightly hollow, but good feedback to the hand.

Tiger X Pro w/ onyx (3/8x10) Got to his with this. Definitely has a crisp ping to it. Similar to a schon type ping...except a little softer. Not bad at all.

So my rankings:

1. Predator Z1
2. Tiger X Pro
3. OB Classic Pro
4. OB2 w/Tiger Hard
5. Predator Z2
6. OB2 Stock

Thanks!

I agree the Z2 feels very dead, especially on a Schon butt, I shaved my Schon shaft down to 12 mm and I like it way better than the z2 now...
