Had some old rails laying around I was going to build a table with years ago. Took the old felt off my table and decided to use it to practice recovering these old rails I have. let me know what ya think....

Looks good. On a scale of 1 to 10.....how difficult do you rate this job? I'm thinking of doing my own too. Thanks.

Not to bad, but you could use some more practice with cutting the cloth and the extra staples are not needed...the ones that are doubled up. Also, did you staple in the back of the side pocket as well?

I didn't really notice how bad I had cut the cloth since these wern't going on a table...lol. Yes, I did staple behind the side pocket, under the fold. Is that correct?

I can't really rate this on a scale 1-10 since I admit I've had some experience doing auto interiors, dashes, door panels, things like that so I kind of knew some tricks from that. I would say unless your have something you can practice on first like i have I wouldn't recommend doing the rails yourself. Its not that difficult, you can watch tons of video's etc on doing it, but some things are just learned by doing it. I pulled quite a few staples out and had to re-do what I did here. You don't want to do that to new cloth and your good rails!!!
