I have a feeling I'll end up ordering at least 1 more cue from him . This is the 1st custom cue that I actually had a part in designing and had made for me.
I got the design from another of Leon's cues I had seen a few months ago, but changed the wood, inlays, and a couple little things to make it my own. Leon was absolutely wonderful to work with and got the cue to me exactly when he had estimated.
The cue is mexican cocobolo with a BEM forearm. Brown phenolic on the buttcap and joint with "lazy s" ring work. All white is juma. The pin is 5/16x14. 16 diamond style inlays total in the sleeve and 12 inlays total in the points. 2 shafts at 12.75, 1 has juma ferrule and the other is ivory.
I couldn't be happier with the way this cue turned out and couldn't be happier that I was able to get Leon to be the one to build this cue. He has a real talent and is a pleasure to talk to and work with.
Hopefully I'll have time to get some better pics up soon, but for now these still show some of the great detail and character of the cue. Hope you enjoy!
Thank you again Mr. Sly,
Matt
