My friend got ahold of his late Dad's Gus...

All the people I assisted took the money and did what was important to them. Which is exactly what you would expect. Pay bills, vacation, college.. at least it was there.

A potential $10,000 sale or so sometimes trumps sentimentality.
You never know how bad someone needs money and to them having two pieces of wood sitting in a closet makes no sense.
I just hope it doesn't drag out for a couple years like the last person trying to sell a Gus.

I have a very similar Gus and I turned down $8000 for it. So that gives you a general idea of what it should bring to the end user. Mine might be a touch nicer but not much.
