Being a collector of all things vintage, esp mid century, I am truly impressed. 1950's? It is beautiful! Though I am a little surprised the legs are not also blue....
where did you find it?

That table is hot! There is only one thing that would make it look better IMHO.........

.....that is if it was set up in my house instead of yours!!:D:D Nice job customizing it:D

The table was inland from San Diego in the same house for over 30 years. I found it on Craigs List. Here is a pic of the table when I went to pick it up. I love blue so keeping it closer to the original blue/white was a natural!!

The 4" pockets aren't so bad if you are used to playing on them. Ernesto cuts them so nice.

Congrats on your new room. Looks great!

Is that tournament blue, electric blue or the new royal blue Simonis?

The blue came out great in that room - looks terrific Russ. You'll be playing a lot of pool now! That's the kind of table I like to play on right there.

Chris

your welcome to come to my house in Vegas and play anytime after I get mine set up, i'm still in construction, I havent been there in over 2 weeks so perhaps it might be close to being done, I havent had the chance to call the guys, i know its close to being ready for the table, Corey has the 8. ;)

Thanks again all!! I am really happy with the way the table turned out. Now I need to decorate the room a little and get the new Diamond light put up next week.

The table is a later model GC I and is a 9 footer. It plays really well.

Funny you should ask (oldroller) if it is a Pro 8, I came sooooo close to buying a Black GCIII that was absolutely perfect. Except, it was a Pro 8. I could have got that table for real steal - $2K !! I am glad I held out for a 9 footer though.

You have a real jewel and not just in beauty but in playability.

Curious

I have a few questions if you don't mind.I am buying a GCI from the second owner,I haven't looked at it other than pics.Did your mechanic have to extend the wood to get the pockets that tight? Can you give me a ballpark figure on the cost of the chrome work ( BEEUTIFUL ).Plus how do you think a satin chrome finish wood look?
Thank you

Russ, is that the original blue color on the sides of the pool table?

I was told that the only blue they made for the sides was a "baby" blue. YOur blue looks darker than that and it looks great.

oldroller... ya we used a wood extension. New rubber comes longer from factory so we can cut it at desired length. So there is only 1 shim, (the minimum) so the balls dont hit directly into wood. The angle is also changed to a straighter one. Dont know the angle # honestly, pops has a cool homemade device to check the angles and make sure they are all consistent.
Thats it I guess.

I sure wish

I didn't live so far from you,I'm in ohio and don't know of anyone to extend the wood like it should be done. How much can you shim pockets before they play goofy? I'll prolly have to settle for that.

Holy Hymen Batman!!! You Better Breakout The Bat Jelley If You Plan On Putting Your Balls In That Pocket!!

Ya...... I tried and they just don't fit, Bat Jelley or not...:D

Thanks for answering those questions for me Oscar!!

I don't think that pockets tighter than mine (4") wouldn't be much fun.

Satin chrome would look great also. I went with chrome because it was the same cost as just about any other finish.

Post up pics when you get your GCI - Oldroller!!
