My girlfriend and I don't like using rubbers

Absolutely love this cue.

I traded a cue for the Jensen to a local AZer for her to finally have a nice cue of her own. And I just recently got the Sugartree.

The Jensen is not a blank that Mike built. Apparently someone brought it to him and asked him to finish it. It isn't perfect by any means. But I could not pass up the trade. Full ivory joint, hoppe ring, 2 shafts with ivory ferrules, full splice Brazilian Rosewood.

The Sugartree needs no introduction. The extra special part of it though is that it is not a John Davis blank. Eric will confirm that for anyone who cares. He made two blanks like this. One birdseye, one curly. The other has a SS joint and delrin buttcap.

Hoping I can find that one someday as well..

Who needs rubbers anyways.

Very nice this is my fav style cue

We are going to come see you one day. Danny talks about you all the time. He likes all the posts you make. It's my favorite style too.

Rubbers are for losers anyways.. if you have a rubber that means you have to put your cue down ;)

Don't Take Your Cue Out Of The House

You and your girlfriend may not like rubbers but the butt end of that Jensen cue testifies to why bumpers are a smart feature for any nice pool cue, unless your cues stay at home for personal play. When you play in pool halls and compete in tournaments, make sure your cue has a bumper or else just learn to tolerate the consequences.

Without protection they could be blessed with a litter of new bumperless Hoppe's.
A lot of bad things can happen without the rubber, but in this case it might be the
beginning of a big collection, featuring 4-point traditional Hoppe's.

Seeing the cue again makes me miss it for sure. The post makes it sound
Like I gave you to good of a deal. LOL just kidding hope you both like the cue
Cause I no I sure did. At first I didn't care for it but after a couple weeks that Jensen
started running racks on its own, hope it's doing same for you.

If she doesn't want to keep it after she gets her first custom I'll trade you back on the same terms buddy, no worries ;)

Guys I have a rubber I put on the Sugartree when I'm playing most places.

And two, I don't think its leaving me. I've been offered a 4 point BB, a Sugartree + cash, a plain BB, a good few cash offers, and a few other cues.

Its staying with me. I won't have the chance to buy another like this and don't think Eric will get to my cue so this is here forever.

Plus at this point it feels like an extension of my arm

I have another cue coming next week but I don't know.. It'll be hard.

Next ones another bar beater but its hard for me to put this one down.
