Ok so I always enjoyed and played pool
this yr I got my first table in a looooong time

I knew nothing, nothing other than I wanted a 9ft-er
this guy had all these nice pretty tables at 7 n 8 ft

the only 9 he had was this used table that looks like a good fit for the garage

so I pick it up for 2k moved and installed. Did I over pay?

so months later I decide I actually want to get good
turns out my table is a brunswick gold crown 1 or 2

just picked up a j. Pechauer jp14l from the pawn shop for bout half the price as new must be 21 ounces shes heavy

picked up a used centineal ball set used from a local player, not in like new condition as he described but could tell difference instantly

I know someone whom I can get a bit of a discount on some items
simonis 860 and aramith tournament set new both togther will cost under 500

I want to have the wood restained and buy the decal set from classic billiards and sealed, the top also is kinda looking worn
also want to add the return system and 1 counter needs replacing

I would like your opinion
I wanted to put the simonis on, should I just wait until the wood is refinished to have the cloth redone, or would I have to buy more cloth and have it done after the table gets restained

Take a few more pics, some of the pocket castings, the ball tray, and the legs. And why are the pics upside down?

Hah must be upside down from uploading from my phone
avatar came the same way
Even rotated it upside down to reupload and its like that strange

The rails on your table are Formica, they can not be stained, you are pretty much stuck with the condition they are in. You could take all of your pool table parts to a body shop and have them painted gloss black and get the pocket castings, feet, and other metal chrome plated, it makes for a very neat looking table but expensive also. If you can live with the rails the rest of the wood can simply be retained. If you to my profile and look in my albums you can see me table. It was originally white with the Formica rails and we stained most of the table and repainted some of it. Classic Billiards should have the parts you are looking for, or you could post an ad in the wanted/fs section seeking the stuff you need.

So it wouldn't be devaluing or blas femey to Paint it?
I actually prefer the wood look though, wonder if it can be polished then cleared

I really like yours
Planning on adding all the bells n wistles to mine, soon as I decide what I on what I want to do with the body

thanks

Thank you for the compliment on my table. As far as value, I think as long as whatever you do to the table as long as it looks good it will not hurt the value at all, maybe even increase it. Brunswick did make an all black table with chrome casting, I think it was a GCIII. The GCV's may come in black also. I only suggested the black if the Formica is pretty beat up, if it is good you can finish to your tastes.
