My JB History Case

I was meaning that to be a little tongue in cheek, as it would be the opposite ends of design
spectrum. But since we can now have 'restomods' with our old cars.... why not?

I'd have to get one like yours for my now 50 plus year old JW..... except at least half of the time
I play now, I'm thinking of liquidating everything pool related and quitting the game.

Please wait until I can play you and you give me the last 3.😉

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to show off my JB History 2x4. Ordered in late October and arrived this week.

I’ve always loved The Hustler, and always wanted a case just like Fast Eddies. After winning a tournament with a sizeable purse, I decided it was time to finally pull the trigger on my dream case. I ordered it in a dark chestnut brown leather, with dark green interior, and brass buckle/rivets. I also wanted the case to be as close to the original AE Schmidt/Brunswick expert case as possible, and asked for a matching fixed-in-place luggage handle over the riveted handle that usually comes with the history case. The team at JB did an excellent job, and I couldn’t be happier with it. It’ll be the last case I ever buy, and it was well worth the wait.

Cheers,View attachment 807447View attachment 807448View attachment 807449View attachment 807453View attachment 807455View attachment 807456View attachment 807457View attachment 807458View attachment 807459
Great looking case. I’m still waiting for his wife to say something during one of his commercials?

If anyone has a History case please share some pictures! Would like to see other examples. Here’s a few i’ve found:

I've been silently following this thread. I had no idea they made top loading cases like this and it was cool to see Fast Eddie using one in the movie (I thought the movie was based in the 50s but I checked, and it is basically current day 60s time period). When were these top loading cases first introduced? I thought everyone used the hinged cases during the 50s - 90s like Fast Eddie had in the Color of Money...

Heres a thread by John Barton on the history of cue cases:

Thanks! Will read later as I'm stepping out to play some...

When I read the post title, I was expecting a case with some photos or embossed scenes from history. Like Joan of Arc, D Day attack, fall of the Berlin Wall, etc... LOL
