I picked this up a few years back. I have not seen another Olivier that looks anything like it. it is birdseye maple with what looks like ebony points with three veneers. Lizard wrap.
Gonzo, i like how subtle the blue veneer is , if i didnt see it in the first picture, i would not have noticed it.. i bet it really sticks out in just the right light..
From a distance the blue blends in with the black. Up close is really pops out. I love the hit on all the Olivier cues I have owned or hit with. I had a sneaky pete that I traded for a Paul Sumrall. The Sumrall and this Olivier play very close to the same.
I agree, the current Olivier cues I have seen have floating points and inlays for the sake of inlays. Not to take anything away from Olivier's cues. They are very nice looking, but I prefer the simpler designs.
