I have a mezz pool cue. I was shooting pool leagues with it last night and noticed I had a gap between the wood and my stainless steel joint collar on my cue( on the butt end of cue not on my shaft) So I took my shaft and looked at it. I was able do turn it by hand and twisted it off and noticed it was just threaded on there. So I just threaded it back on and tightened it down. Easy fix, but is the joint collar supposed to be glued, to keep from unscrewing? And this got me wondering..... Can I just buy another joint collar online and thread it right on there to change to a different style? I would like the look of a white or black phenolic collar better than the SS color. Is it really that simple to change them Out, just unscrew the old and rescrew the new, or am I missing something? Do they all have different thread patterns or fairly universal? Thanks
