My Lucky day

The end of the month couldn't come sooner for me, I've been broke broke broke broke.

Anyways, on Sunday while playing at a weekly tournament I'd heard that the pool hall by my place was changing thier sunday tournaments to Monday for the summer.

I usually don't go to thier tournaments because they start too early on Sunday and I'm usually still doing things with my kids before I drop them off at thier mothers.

With payday coming at the end of the week I figured I could spring for the $10 entry fee and see if I could win a little beer money for the week.... so off I went to the pool hall. When I got there the manager said they didn't have enough to hold it that night(with half an hour before it was supposed to start). I said, well I'll stick around, you know pool players they're less than punctual at the best of times.

Sure enough we got enough players. The manager asked me if I wanted to run the tournament and she would pay my entry fee. BONUS!!!!!

The tournament ran smoothly, no problems (except a rule question I may start a new thread on) and I managed to win it. So, for a little easy work I got a free entry into a tournament and won it. I only had one beer so I left a very generous tip in the tip jar on my way out.

Holy Mr. K, You sure know how to read between the lines. For your information I had someone draw the names out of a hat for me.

I just got lucky with the draw. I did have to play the toughest player twice. (thankfully not 3 times because he had to beat me twice in the final)

You must be excited to get out of that shithole for awhile. (I grew up there and lived there for 25 years)Definately would like to shoot some stick with ya.
