I'm sorry Mr. Hulk but but you're disqualified!:D

stricklands character gimmick does make it easy to remember something about someone. entertainment value high, character value, im not one to judge or have an opinion on.

Now if they put that on ESPN people might start watching for once. Its pretty obvious that 2 girls playing not saying a word while one of the anouncers has to remind the other what left hand english is every other shot JUST ISNT GETTING IT! Give us some ACTION for crying out loud and treat the game like it actually means something. I love it when it gets intense like that.

Only a Cuetec

Hey it was a terrible stroke and he did jump up on it.
If I was playing with a Cuetec, and I made that shot, I might of sacrificed it also.:D :D

I agree this is a very sad display of sportsmanship. Craig

How is this any different from a pitcher that gives up a 2 out home run, goes into the dugout and beats the hell out of a water cooler (haven't we all seen that one), or a batter that strikes out and snaps the bat over his knee. Hell, I saw one of my friends (you all know him, so no names), destroy one of his rackets on the ground at a recent US Open (tennis). When ESPN showed it. all they said was "BAD RACKET". Not "bad sportsmanship", "a disgrace" or any of the other charges leveled at Earl. Face it, there are those amongst us that will find fault at whatever Earl does. He shows a PASSION for the game and he is a "disgrace". If he sits quietly "he is dispondent". Earl is not, nor do I think he wants to be a Jones, Archer, Reyes, etc....He is EARL. The winning-est 9-ball player in history.

id be pretty impressed if somebody could break a bowling ball.:D

if i had those horns blowing in the background and i was playing with a cuetech, i think id be inclined to javelin an audience member rather than break the cue. of course id never do that with the scruggs or gilbert though.:p

I lived in Houston in the mid 80's and occasionally would run into Earl.

I see things have not changed much in 20+ years.

This was how he acted when there wasn't a TV camera on him.

Now, it appears, the presence of a camera makes no difference.

I guess Elizabeth was right about the crowd having horns! That's some crazy noise there. I do love the split-second freeze from Earl when he saw his cue disentegrate.

Heh, that'd make a good selling slogan for the cue. "Comes apart just like Earl does!"

No joke! I can't believe it. Hilarious though.

I still think a pitcher beating a water cooler or the batter snapping the bat is poor sportsmanship too. Yes, I agree Earl is a very good player, there is no disputing the fact. I do believe he (as well as other sports figures) could learn a lesson from their tantrums and realize how silly it makes them look. JMO.

We should all contribute and make a compilation of Earl's frustrating and poor sportsmanship videos and I'll burn it on a DVD and we can send it to him for his christmas present!

I know the ball was missed but didn't it look as if it popped back out of the hole? Or maybe it looped out?

I think he either tried to do one of the following :

Cheated the pocket (didn't work)
Hit it too hard or with wrong English (didn't work)
Was already predetermined to break his shaft so he intentionally missed (did work) :p

Tyler Durden: Only after disaster can we be resurrected.

Narrator: [Tyler steers the car into the opposite lane and accelerates] What are you doing?
Tyler Durden: Guys, what would you wish you'd done before you died?
Steph: Paint a self-portrait.
The Mechanic: Build a house.
Earl Strickland : Break a few cues and be an asshole!
Tyler Durden: [to Narrator] And you?
Narrator: I don't know. Turn the wheel now, come on!
Tyler Durden: You have to know the answer to this question! If you died right now, how would you feel about your life?
Narrator: I don't know, I wouldn't feel anything good about my life, is that what you want to hear me say? Fine. Come on!
Tyler Durden: Not good enough.

He would have broken it a few days earlier, but the table saved him. He hit his cue against the table harder than he hit it on the floor to break it. He just got lucky and his cue glanced of the short rail. Must have been one huuge dent though.

IMO, Cuetec is the BEST cue for the money. I am talking about a cheap one. And at like $60, they are disposible too. lol

Arent Cuetecs around $100+? For around that price someone can get a decent sneaky pete that plays much better than a piece of crap Cuetec.
