I want to post the pics I took of my new "gilbert" cue and a JOSS cue from the 80's I picked up. the joss is available for anyone interested in making an offer. it has 1 perfect shaft and 1 with a slight warp in the middle. the ferrule does not raise off the table. both ferrules are ivory. it's about a 60 inch cue also. I want to raise some money for another "gilbert" cue. I really like the one I bought from "cueaddicts.com"

It's the best cue he's ever hit with he wouldn't sell it for all the tea in China. LOL

this gilbert cue plays very well. I never played with any others, so I have no comparison. I just wish the shafts had a "pro" taper instead of a "strong" taper but they are still very nice. Hi jimbo! I thought you forgot about me buddy. nice to see you still follow my actions like you have nothing better to do. lol ;)

Well, no, but it bothers me (slightly) that you're a ridiculous person.

the only ridiculous people here are you and jimbo. you have nothing better to do than sneak into every one of my posts and make comments you know nothing about. it's ridiculous for me to even respond to your nonsense. I buy and sell cues. everyone knows this. so what! you don't like it...turn your heads and leave me be. the childish attitudes I get from the two of you is just becoming obnoxious. first it was the "cue design theft" issue which gave jimbo something to bitch about, then you joined in. okay...I can accept that. now the topic of choice is that I buy and sell cues. why should you care? I mean really...grow up. nobody bothers you to even read my posts. if you don't like what I do, just leave me alone. every comment you make is similar to the last one and you just wind up looking foolish. not that it bothers me, but you are taking up precious space on this site just ranting and raving about the same nonsense. we all know you are not fond of the fact that I buy and sell cues, but what makes this different than everyone else on this site selling cues? absolutely nothing. you really should think before you post again (and I know you will ) about how foolish you will make yourself look for repeating yourself.

I don't care one way or the other, the fact that you can't afford to keep the cues you buy and buy more is no sweat of my back. I only joke about it because you always claim how great the cue is and how you have never hit with a better cue and it's all just hype to try and sell some piece of shit. Try being honest for once in your life and tell the truth. How about "I like the cue, but want to try out a new one and don't have the money to do so. I need to sell this one before I can buy a new one to brag about". I don't care what you do with your crappy cues, sell them all, buy new ones, who gives a shit? Your sales pitch is nothing more then lies in an attempt to make you an extra $5, we all see right through you. I hope you make a ton and next week you can post pics of your next cue for sale. The thing you miss is that this is a forum for people to talk cues, the one you want is the buy and sell section, go there and you'll be left alone I am sure. I happen to be the opposite of you, when I find a cue I like I'll keep it forever, you can't replace a great hitting cue, but I guess I'm just in a better position then you. You may want to think about a second (or third) job.

show me where I said that every cue I have bought is the best playing cue I have ever owned. did I claim the "dzuricky" was the best playing cue I have ever owned before I sold it? NO! did I claim that about the schon? NO! you are putting words into my mouth that never even crossed my mind. if you are going to make this statement, back it up with some evidence. oh,wait....you don't have any! do I claim this joss is the best hitting cue ever? not by a long shot! I don't like it. it's not me. have I said my "gilbert" is the best playing cue? no...but it is very nice and a WELL playing cue. why do you think I don't have any money JIMBO? you think because I sell what is not needed before I try another, that I can't afford to just buy another? you're mistaken, but that only shows your ignorance. I just choose not to own anything I don't feel is worthy. And jimbo...you can replace a great hitting cue. you buy another one. Also I would like to know what makes my cues "junk"? Because they are not made by "southwest", or "tim scruggs", or "tascarella", or just because you say so? you're an ass jimbo and you show us all with every negative post. what is a "good" cue in your mind (or lack of one)? would you like me to convey your feelings to Andy Gilbert for you? How about Dan Janes? How about Evan Clark? How about Bob Dzuricky? the next time you decide to make a statement about a cue to me, think whether or not it may get back to the cue builder, and then post it. it just may. have a nice day jimbo...sounds like you need one. before I leave you alone....which "grumpy old men" were you?

See, this statement simply does not add up to your previous posts when you acquire said "worthless" cues. Those were expressions of joy, elation, telling the world how lucky you are to chance upon a great find...certainly not attributes of something you consider not worthy to own.

You want to know why you are singled out among the many who buy/sell/trade cues here? No one else pulls the 180 you do on their wares, that's why. Maybe you really are schizo, but I tend to believe Jimbo's theory that all the excitement over the cue of the week is merely a marketing ploy.

I'm not really afraid to appear foolish on this forum or anywhere else, so I don't have to think twice about responding to your posts. Imvho, the only fool so far in this thread is you. You are not only a fool but an established fool, OGF, from the moment you happened upon AZ you've proven to be nothing but.

As a business man I've tried to stay clear of posting anything to do with your "buying/selling transactions", but I have to give my .02 on this.
YOU contacted me to see if I was interested in trading my Schon for your DZ. I have a DZ in my collection, so I know they are good cues. I, along with everyone else on AZ have never heard of you, but many, many people know of me. I agreed to make a trade, ship the cues at the same time and contact each other with the shipping/tracking info. I highly doubt that there's a handfull of dealers out there that would ship before receiving from someone "unknown"! Between the time the Schon was shipped and the time you received it, you had already plastered a very negative statement and questions on AZ about MY credibility...without contacting me first to clear things up about the Schon still being displayed on my website. Once you received the Schon you said it was a fantastic cue, you were going to have Bob do a little work to it and THIS CUE was going to be your new playing cue. Then less than 2 weeks after the transaction was complete, you had it up for sale on multiple sites.
If all you plan to do is buy a cue, shoot with it to get a feel for the cue makers work, then sell/trade it....GREAT! But don't make such a big issue out of it. Most of AZ who are following your posts, could give a care less what you buy/sell/trade. Just make it known that you would like to shoot with as many different cues as you possibly can. Maybe you just want to be able to say.."I once owned a _____ cue!" I don't really know! If you even think once that this post shocked you and you're dissappointed in my business ethics, I don't care! There's ALWAYS going to be a better looking, feeling, playing cue out there. To each his own!

I got to chime in here...I am the world's worst cue owner. I have bought and sold so many sticks in my day as I was still searching for the one that I feel comfortable with. I can safely say that my current Schon, is probably going to be the last cue I will own as a playing cue, provided I can get that custom extension made for the butt. Oh I have other cues that fill out my rack at my house, and those may vary. They will not be the high end SouthWest's or Scruggs or McDaniel...but they will be nice cues for when people come over that don't have a nice cue, they can use one of my rack cues. These include my daughter's Cuetec, a Palmer, a new Chuck custom (from Ebay), a Players jump/break, and my personal home/backup cue - a McDermott with a Predator shaft.

With that being said, I enjoy buying and selling cues. I sometimes turn a profit, sometimes take a loss...it is just a hobby for me. My playing cue, however, is NOT. I take it very serious, although I have never owned a cue for longer than 5 years. In college it seemed I would always get in trouble financially or would find someone willing to give me more than I paid for it, and I would part with the cue. I now have a real job since graduating college in 96, and I settled on a much nicer Schon with a Predator shaft. I experimented with a Predator on a Players butt, and that worked great. I sold that cue and then bought the Schon from Erik Lee and the shaft from InsidePool.com mall. I knew the Schon from owning one previously in college.

I don't know how a Southwest, McDaniel, or Scruggs play...so why not buy one, hit a few with it, and sell if its not what you like? I think some people just can't be truthful and honest with themselves about how they feel towards the cue and are scared their opinion may not be a good selling point for the cue.

Hey...I been accused of having "more money than sense" on more than one occasion, but that's just me.

I also agree with Zim there...there will always be greener grass on the other side, it just depends on how you treat your lawn as to how green YOUR grass will be.

Yes I am, but I will point out to you once more that we have a section here for what you want to do, it's called the Buy/Sell area, try to use it. BTW I also happen to like Andy Gilbert, try not to put words in my mouth LOL.

Jimbo don't call the guys cues Crap! First of all many on this board would not consider Gilbert cues crappy. As for everything else you have to say... I could care less what Duke is doing with his cues...

I didn't call Gilbert cues crappy, as a matter of fact if you read the post right above yours you'll see that I said I happen to like them. But if the truth be told I don't really care what you or anyone else here thinks of anyone's cues, you can have your opinion and I can have mine. I won't try to tell you who's cues you should like please don't tell me who's I can or can't call crap. Opinions are like assholes you know. But for the record I happen to like Gilbert cues and Andy, he's a real nice guy. I also don't care about what Duke does with his cues, but he's here selling them and as you know we have a special section for such things.
