Hey Bavafongoul - I contacted Joel last night on his site and he wrote back today. He says the cue was made in the 70s ( he could tell me exactly when if he had the orig owner's name ) and that it's rather rare, that Spain only made a handful of these with what he termed "the pearlized backend". He also called it "a great piece of history ". So thanks for letting me know about him, much appreciated.
