This cue was made by Stroud in the early nineties. He only made two cues ever with solid wood butt caps. This one and another one that was actually one piece of birdseye from the wrap down. I buy different cues from time to time, but I always will be a Josswest guy at heart. I have such respect for Bill Stroud. People that are relatively new to the hobby may not understand what a pioneer he has been over forty years plus of cue making. He is currently making me a cue. It may be the last cue I receive directly from him before he gives it up. (I have owned aprox. 20 of his cues) It's absolutely going to be a masterpiece. Birdseye, ebony, ivory, silver and black mother of pearl. Traditional, but fancy, forearm with extremely fancy fourth axis design in the back. It will be the fanciest cue I have ever owned. The anticipation is killing me. Probably will be another 6 months or so.
