My new Ken Murrell 8 pointer

Recently I asked for a little help in looking for a Ken Murrell cue. I just wanted to thank all of you who helped in my search, especially eeng168. After a bunch of PMs and a few responses to the thread, een168 showed me one that I had to see in person to believe. I called him, arranged a time and a meeting place, and both myself and buddha162 met up with Eeng168, Ironchef, even Nostroke and Highend Cue were there.

Well, needless to say, the search is over and the cue is mine! It plays like a dream!! Thanks Edward! It was a pleasure doing business with you! And it was great meeting you! You too Ricky! Hopefully we'll meet up again soon sometime. In the meantime, the cue looks and plays like a dream and, since this is the cue "gallery", here are the pics!

Forgot the description:

8 points of birdseye maple.
Grenadillo forearm.
Grenadillo handle.
Birdseye butt, buttcap, and joint.
Wood rings at A,B,C,D, and E (maple and red)

18.5 oz., two shafts approx 13mms.

This cue is naturally and perfectly forward balanced. The only parts of this cue that aren't wood are the brass radial pin and the rubber bumper.

Thanks again Edward!

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the picture of this cue in no way does it any justice. I bet that is a real beauty to see in person. Congrats on the find!

Brian,

Pleasure meeting you, Roger and Gravy Davy in person. lol
That cue is a looker and I'm glad it went to a good home. See you around the pool hall.

I'm glad you like the cue...

It was really a pleasure meeting up with you and shooting some, it's so funny that a whole bunch of peope from AZ Billiards was actually down there.

Come back into the city to play some, we'll all bring out more cues to see in person.

What ever happened to the person with the "sore neck" in the accident?

Time to post some of your own pictures Brian; that cue is gorgeous through and through. The hit is something special...really nice feedback and really moves the cueball around the table.

Nice meeting Ricky in person, we have very similar tastes in cues. His SW hits freakin' sweeeet!

-Roger (Next time we'll put all our cues on one table and stand around it gloating and congratulating each other while rubbing our hands together and laughing maniacally)

Thanks again Edward. Oh, and after I left the city, I stopped by the port authority, got the accident report, and that guy with the sore neck? WHo knows? Never heard from him! At least not yet!

That is funny about the AZ Billiards meet and greet... All AZers should set a time to meet and have a booth or something at the Open, I am sure at least half the people on this site are gonna be there... LOL
