Hi,

I have just cleared my new KTM through customs today, and am totally pleased with the work Kenny sent me. Pommelle Bubinga into Ebony, the recut points are made of Holly. The pictures don't show the tone of the bubinga exactly, as my kitchen is painted yellow. This played some tricks with the white balance, and I will eventually reshoot the pictures in another room. I just don't have the energy to move the table right now ;-)

Working with Kenny was really fun - I had ideas for everything but the layout of the buttsleeve, and he filled in where my imagination was lacking. At one point, he introduced another weapon: His wife's sense of aesthetics. You just can't argue anymore at this point :D

However, I shot some pictures which are halfway adequate for the cue's beauty, so here they go:

Kudos for the great pics.

What kind of wood is the long points? It almost looks like Pau Ferro, but the grain is throwing me off.

Beautiful early Christmas present you have there!!!

Edit: Nevermind, I went right by the description to the pics and never turned back! Beautiful bubinga figure on that one!
 
Very nice cue you have there. The matching joint protectors really add a nice touch to an already beautiful cue. Congrats,

I just came home from my usual day in the hall. Since p-o-b and weight are unchanged, the adaption was very smooth. The handle is a little thinner compared to my old Kruger, but that is fine with me as my hands are not that large.

The feedback has improved, and I have a slightly better speed control as a result.

What amazed me most is the quality of the shaft wood. Though I had burnished my old Kruger till it positively shined, it was smooth but the grain of the wood could be felt somehow.

Kenny's shafts have a really pleasant texture - they have not been as excessively burnished as my old shaft, yet they feel smooth to the touch and have no tactile grain.

Right now, I'm as happy as I can be.

Won 3:1, not bad either :-)

One thing was strange, though: I play in a bar where most people play with house-cues. Today, there were 8 players with house-cues and my buddy with his excalibur in the 100-Euro-range. The Murrell is more valuable than all those cues combined. Makes you feel somewhat dizzy, doesn't it? :o
