My New Lambros

Just got this lambros in, my pic skills not that good inspite of having a good camera.So i have to say pics dont do justice to the cue. I will try and take more pics out of my home.

Shipped on 14th march from ohio arrived bangkok 18th march.

Usps express mail is the best.

It is a fullsplice, points are pretty even, and it sports the new lambros ultra low deflection shaft.I will take it for a test drive later in the day and post my thoughts about how it plays.

I might move Back to India in a few months as work has not been that good due to political instabilty. But we will surely meet somewhere down the line.

Nice pickup!

I shoot with a fullspliced Lambros bacote into curly. I love it! I am also using the Ultra Shaft, but mine has a different logo on it. The balance is perfect for my style, but many may find that it's a little further back than they prefer. I also have a custom he made for me and it arrived right before the new year. Just a few words about the differences between the 2: His customs hit far better!! The fullsplice are blanks that he purchases and finishes to his dimensions and, of course, include the Ultra Joint. So the 'Hit' that his cues are notorious for is present, but not as announced as his customs. I've used the same shaft on both butts on the same table during the same practice session and I've noticed. Even though this cue is fullspliced, I find that the feedback is more loudly spoken in my custom. But that happens to be a wrapless cue. My preference.

I noticed you were seeking feedback on his Ultra Shaft (U/S) compared to Predators. I'll give you my 2 pennies here instead. But just to be fair, I have to say, I haven't shot with a Predator in a while. From what I can remember is where these pennies will come from. The U/S needs not much off center hit for it to provoke plenty of spin on the ball. That said, there is no need to strike at extremes. That, in turn, translates to no need for compensating for deflection. However, the U/S can be played just like his regular shafts. Which, in my mind plays fantastic and already possess low deflection characteristics.

Ummm... I think that was less of a comparo than it was a write up. Oops.

Either way, congrats on a great choice in cue and welcome to the 'Lambros Family'.

Enjoy the grins this cue will provide you. But I'd like to urge you contact Mike Lambros and have him build you something that you'll love. He's always great to deal with over the phone and there's usually plenty of laughs. He's uber cool for a serious artistic craftsman. A true cue engineer with a mind that never not ticks.

I don't post much, so a quick search will show you what I have from him.

I just had a 2 hour session with this cue. Usually when i fit the first ball with new cue i get to know whether i like it or not. For this cue i love the cue to the core, incredible hit. The hit and the balance of this cue is perfect. It is very much a forward balance cue. This cue hits at par or better than any top dollar cue out there.
Comparing the ultra shaft with a predator. It definately deflects more than a predator but less than a conventional shaft.
I dont think the playbilty of this cue at this price can be matched.

I am really happy with this cue, almost as happy as i was when i hit with my 95 franklin southwest.

Mikes cues are made for serious pool playing...IMO
Mike executes everything in His cues flawlessy.
I am going to order one from Him to My specs,
