Cues are meant to be played with, that's why I bought it . Since it's a variation of his Black Baron, he didn't really charge me alot to modify the design a little to meet my taste. One thing he did do for me, I asked for a special selection of birdseye maple, he said he couldn't find anything special enough to charge me extra for so he just gave me the best piece he had in his shop. The first thing my wife commented on when I opened the box was beautiful figure of the maple, it really is an awesome piece. When I let my wife shoot with it last night, she commented "Wow, it feels really light" when I told her it's heavier than her personal cue (18.5 to the RB 19.5) she immediatly said it was the best balnced cue she's ever felt. I totally agree with her on that one. This is only the third custom cue I have had built, but I think it's great.
Thats a very nice cue. The ivory joint and ferrule definitely affect the hit/feel of the cue. In my opinion, it will play alittle softer. I'm very partial to ivory ferrule. Will not play with anything else.
I have a couple of variations of Richard Black's Black Baron cues. The difference is the longer/larger inlays in the butt and hence a smaller buttcap. Both are for sale at low low price
I've looked at those two cues on your site several times and when they were on eBay. How much are you looking to get out of yours? My wife would KILL me (literally) if I bought another cue now. But Christmas is right a round the corner .
