Heya guys and gals,

I spent about an hour up in Tim's Shop today, and walked out with a GORGEOUS cocobola 4 pointer with a Hoppe ring. Thought I'd post a couple pics...and a couple of my "collection" to date. Mind you, the collection pics is incomplete...as my Ebony and bloodwood Wayne Holmes is inbound soon...and I'll take a couple snaps of that when it gets here...but, in the meantime, check out my babies....and my new Scruggs cue!

From left to right: Nova (formerly Nubs' personal playing cue...thanks Hunter), Jensen (thanks Bushwhacker), Wayne Holmes, my new Scruggs, Sugartree Fancy Hustler. MISSING: Ebony with bloodwood points, veneers, and buttsleeve windows cue by Wayne Holmes. COMING SOON: Skip Weston, Andy Gilbert, and Dennis Searing (hopefully by the end of this year...give or take a century!!:) )

Take care, ya'll.

Rat

OOOOOO WEEEE! I can't wait til' you post that pretty little Scruggs up in our 9 ball match. Now...what the heck kind of stuff did I have to do again? Wear clogs, while dancing the macarena blindfolded, while also playing jacked up one handed pool with a warped broom handle??

Beautiful cue Mark. Good work.

Thanks, Matt. Yeah, I'm pretty thrilled with it. I'll bring it along, the next time we play some. The veneer work is awesome, the balance is perfect...and the hit is REALLY sweet.

Oh, and don't forget...I get 6 balls spotted (not THE 6...I'm talking 6 out of the 9 on the table), and you have to be a full 3-sheets drunk, too. :)

Sounds like a fair game to me!!!

Be good, bro.

That is one beautifol cue :)

Believe me I know a classy cue when I see one, Happy pocketing! Nick:)

how do you like the sugartree?

The scruggs is my personal favorite design for scruggs cues. Keep meaning to buy one, just never have the cash.

The biggest mistake I ever made was selling my Scruggs. Oh well..live and learn. I'll have another someday (sooner than later I suspect)..or maybe one of those pretty Mike Cochran cues.

Awesome TS cue!

Mark, that is an extremely nice TS cue

You & Nick are making me jealous here lately ;)

Take care & keep up to good work on the collection :D

You must ...

have a good job. You have too many cues for only being 30! .... lol
Nice cue .... enjoy it ...

I am on the list for a sugartree also. How do you like the hit and what would you say it si comparable to?

Thanks,
gh8st

Hiya.

Yeah, I'm starting to rival Nick in the Scruggs Fan Club!! I love that cue.

No clue about the Sugartree. Just got it last week, and haven't hit a ball with it yet. Too busy travelling...and too busy trying to figure out what cue I want next!! :) Oh, if only I had a Million!!!

:) :)

Decent job...even MORE decent wife for putting up with me.

I think I just wore her down to the point where she quit trying to figure it/me out.

If only she had listened to me 4 years ago, she coulda saved herself (and me) all that frustration!

send me the sugartree and I'll try it out for you.

Hay rat :)

I would have never admitted this publicly but seeing you already PMsd me I am glad you love my cue! If you want I might be able to believe it or not get you a Sugartree shaft that was made for that very cue. Kinda spooky but the gentleman that gave that beauty to me for 9 ball lessons had Crisp take measurements and now has the shaft with the exact collars to match that beauty! Spooky if you ask me. It was made from a old growth tree that he cut himself and did all the sawmill work on also! Too many age lines to count. Happy Pocketing :) Nick

Nick,
Do you know why Tim uses the fancy script on his logo sometimes (like Rat's cue) and the regular script most of the time?

Maybe-maybe not

Hate to guess . I never asked. I know he has a older logo where the T stays above the bottobmof the S and a newer logo with a longer T and a newer very fancy logo that is really fancy schmancy and must be a total pain in the but literally ha ha to ech and fill with black epoxy. Tim and Mike are always looking for subtle fine touches that really make you realize the work in the cues they make is to a very high standard. And with a machenist of Mikes abilities the sky is the limit! Nick

Nick,

Tim mentioned something about having another shaft out there that matched my cue...but he wasn't sure (and neither was I) which cuemaker did the work, or where it was.

Personally, I love the cue, and love the shafts. I've heard some good things about old-growth maple...but have never shot with one, so no frame of reference to how they play.

As for the TS logo...I noticed it was different than what I've seen in the past...and I like the new one. Really sharp looking, and a touch more "flair" to it. You're right...it's a nice touch to an already AWESOME cue. This thing shoots fantastic. I'm definitely in love. Now, if only it would learn how to cook!!!! :)

Very nice Scruggs !! I know the hit is great, I love mine. I also have a simple Scruggs, 5 veneers on BE maple with ebony butt sleeve, white ivorene (?) buttcap, double silver rings on ABCDE and smooth leather wrap. Best hitting cue ever !! Congrats on your new cue !
