Bought a cue a few months ago wich by the way plays fantastic but the shaft warped a little bit so I contacted the cue maker who send me a new one .
My new radial pin shaft doesn't fit my butt !!! As for the joint protector I have no problem to screw it onto the new shaft .
How is this possible and what can I do about it ?
I live in Europe so maybe I can go look for a cue maker here who can fix it , what you think ?

Thanks in advance ,

Christoph

A lot of times you can just put wax on the pin and force the shaft on a little and back it off and keep doing it and it will work its way onto the pin. Many times this is done at the shop before you get the cue. This gives that super snug fit many like.

i can screw it half way and that's it .
What kind of wax do i use for this ?

I was headed down the road that Chris took. Chris also sells cue wax or just about any billiards supplier should have some. Don't use liquid wax though.

The only wax i know is car wax and i don't think this is the one i should be using .

Hi Christoph,

If the wax does not help you know where to find me or you could go straight to Oliver Stops.

No problem.
Maybe next time you can let me come to the table more then 4 or 5 times in a race to 9;)

Run a bar of regular hard soap on the threads than wipe it all off with a paper towel, done it hundreds of times.
