Curious as to why that would be? People buy and trade cues all the time, so it shouldn't be such an insult to a maker that you trade or sell a cue he made for you. At least in my mind.
Except said maker had a very public battle with duke years ago, and vowed he would never get a cue from Bob's shop again. Bob also made it very clear that if he ever found out who sold Duke one of his cues he would be at the least, "extremely upset". I don't know all the circumstances behind the fallout, but it couldn't have been good for Bob to go to those lengths.
Got you, i have heard nothing but good things about the quality of his cues and love his youtube videos.
Bob's cues are great I agree. I also don't blame Duke for wanting one. That being said Duke probably should have considered that before pushing Bob over the edge.
