My ONLY Cue - Updated Pics
With all the lovely cues posted here, I thought I would post my one and only cue. If cashflow were available, I would own many more...But I am just tickled to own this one
Skip Weston Ebony/BE cue 19.25 oz 2003
Points consist of, working outside in: Putumuju, Pupleheart, Ebony, BE
What appears to be a single ring of ebony on the butt section actually consists of 3 rings: Ebony, Purpleheart, Putumuju.
I am told it is the only one like this that Skip has done, as it is incredibly labor-intensive to do. I think it is absolutely stunning, and I never tire of looking at it.
The cue's performance is so incredibly smoooooooth, that I have since named it 'Old No. 7', after a certain Tennessee sour-mash whiskey that I find equally smoooooooth
Update: I found some scans of my cue, which show better the colors in the hardwood 'veneers', as well as the figure of the birdseye maple. The scan seems to have distorted the points somewhat, not sure why, but the are really much cleaner and sharper than the scan may convey. Enjoy!!
Note: IE seems to want to compress the forearm pic to fit the screen. Just left click at the end of the pic and you will get a little 'enlarge' type icon that, if you left click on, will enlarge to actual size.
