My Pechauer problem...

You have a bad case of what musicians call "GAS". "Gear acquisition syndrome" Its when musicians never stop buying gear, even though they really don't need any more.

I might add, its a difficult habit to break, unless, you run out of cash. If you have an unlimited supply of cash or a reasonable amount of disposable income, then you will definitely need therapy.

Otherwise, you can expect your collection to grow and grow and grow :D

So I have hit pretty much every production cue available (along with several customs), and Pechauers with the pro joint are by a wide margin my favorite hitting cues. They don't make me pot any more balls, but the hit, feedback, balance, etc., it just feels perfect to me. So, I bought one, and then another, and another, and another...will it ever end?

I started out with a wrapless crown jewel, then an early 90's cue and had it rewrapped and refinished, next a kind of rare jump/break, up to my latest addition, the decade 2 cue. The feel of all of these cues is very consistent (with the same tip), and the folks at Pechauer are some of the best at customer service I have come across...

My only issue is that the Pechauer Extension is not compatible with the cue from the early '90's, as the butt plate is a good deal longer and the threads don't engage wnough to hold it on securely.

Has anyone ever tried a mid cue extension with a Pechauer? Does it change the way the cue feels/hits? Thanks for the help.

100% quality. Pride of owner having Pech’s.

How's that break shaft?

This one isn't the finished product as it was a prototype. But Jin loves it, doesn't have to put so much power into it for an 8 year old and can focus more on accuracy. I need to get one for myself as his break cue has been shortened more for his height.

https://youtu.be/0ZB69KjiWJA his break starts at about 1 minute into the video......

I'm surprised to be the 1st to bring this up, but best to stay away from mid-cue extension for your main playing cue. Most rules will state that a break down of your main playing cue during a match is equivalent to forfeiture of the match. And yes, a mid-cue extension can change the hit/feel of a cue.

You'd be surprised how many don't know this. I had to explain it to a tourny director who watched me use this method to concede a tourny match because I had to leave early. Was up 3 racks, got a text from the wife informing me they were taking my son to the e.r. so I called out to my opponent, and broke my cue down. T.d. looked at me like what the hell does that mean???
