Will be taking this back to taiwan with me in a couple of weeks. Many, many thanks to our very own JW Petree for rushing this cue (not to be confused with a rush-job)...I've always wanted a classy-looking hustler and this cue is gorgeous, the finish is crystal clear and the brass rings are polished to a nice shine.

Most importantly, it hits very, very solid, with a nice 'ping.' Once I get harder tips put on I'll like it even better. The butt diameter is slimmer than what I'm used to, but I think I like it!

JW's customer service is also top-notch. Communication was easy and friendly, and he mummified this cue for shipping, lol. I happily recommend him to anyone looking for a cue.

VERY NICE! Is that a DUFFERIN blank (or comparable) or did the maker fabricate it?

Thank you, Adam

Update

After 3 months of drastic temperature and humidity fluctuations (from a 95 degree, 90% humidity closet to a frigidly air-coned poolhall and back, not to mention a globe-spanning flight), my Petree is arrow straight, and none of the rings moved at all.

As far as I'm concerned, this speaks volumes for a cuemaker's attention to detail and patience. I've seen many, many cues (from elite cuemakers) warp and check in Taiwan's brutal summers.

And again, JW was an absolute pleasure to work with. Just thought I'd spread the word some more on a solid new CM.

JW is a good friend of mine. I see him regularly at the Tulsa Billiard Palace.
He's very dedicated to building the best cues possible, and, they keep getting better and better!
He's pretty-much self-taught, but also has good relations with alot of the bigger-name cue-makers as well.
I am really glad to read the nice things you all have to say, Hes a good guy, and, a really good pool player too

I really appreciate all you guys' kind words. I am glad to help anyone I can, anytime I can.

Let me know what I can do for you guys!

Thanks for the post Roger!

J W Petree

I have three of Pete's cues. Each one is better than the last one. All three are beyond reproach as far as workmanship and playing attributes are concerned. J W Petree is a gentleman of the first order, and besides, he has a beautiful wife and two gorgeous daughters. I love them all, especially the little one.

I'm not sure how well he plays. I got lucky once and beat him one game of one pocket. I wouldn't play him for money though. I quit while I'm ahead.
