Wa laaaa! Here is the difference!!!

For those of you who owns the 3rd generation xbreaker i probably do not need to tell you how good a breaker and a jumper it is. But this should be how it should have been designed i feel.

By replacing the 5/16-14 jump butt joint with a uniloc, it makes detaching it more efficient. Before it is just so annoying how troublesome it is to have to screw it all out and back in again when needed.

Thanks to Ryan Theewen from Mueller for doing this job. It was a good job. Though it may seems to be a simple job of replacing a joint. I can tell you i have encounter some really scary cue repair man who will leave you with a ding or 2 for even replacing a tip!

I had no problem in communications with him and I think his work is very good, fast and clean. So if anyone else wants to do what i did. Here is a good option.

Hey MasterClass I'm sure you will enjoy the xbreaker as much as I do. I have the limited edition purple stained one.

Thing is, the reason why the last section had the same thread as the middle joint, is just so you can substitute jump handles, which I must admit has been useful in some situations. I hope that you changed both joints to uniloc. Of course, there are also some who might say that the uniloc might not feel as "tight" as the 5/16-14...

I could jump and control the ball pretty well on a long jump without removing the butt piece and jump 1 ball length from the obstructing ball on a short jump with the butt removed.

What is the purpose of connection the butt to the shaft do you know? I must admit i never thought of that. But hell if i have to remove 2 5/16-14 joints and screw them back again later then i think i rather kick!

I'm no authority on this because I would rather kick 99% more often than I would jump...I'm more confident of kicking than launching the rock in the air. Sometimes though, it would be really obvious to jump instead, like if it were a straight shot into the pocket. I actually have used the butt piece with the shaft a couple of times, and yes you are right it is quite the hassle --- jump experts please chime in but for me, with the butt piece I can control the cueball a lot easier, I can put more "juice" into the cueball, like when I'm trying to masse jump or jump draw, and I can jump further with it too.

Also it's just cool to do it.

It's sad that the xbreaker is no longer in production and Richard is MIA...this jump/break cue is by far my favorite of all the ones I've tried. For the really close jumps I have my jacoby jumper though.

Richard is not MIA...he is very ill, and in and out of the hospital. :(
