My shooter...... Scruggs

This is my every day shooter, can't see myself ever parting with it. A better hitting cue has never been made. As an aside, who would order a cue from Tim Scruggs and have their own initials put on the butt cap rather than the traditional Scruggs TS logo? This guy did, instead of the TS it has NF which is the original owners initials. I have the original invoice from his order and I called Tim's shop before I bought it to verify that it is a Scruggs. Mike remembered this cue instantly so I jumped on it. Not a bad deal at $560.

I was told by Mike to send it down and for $60 they would put a new butt cap on with the TS logo. Should I do it?

If it was me, I would have the cap replaced.

I agree. I would have it replaced and have the TS and your own initials placed in the butt cap. Exclude your initials if you ever plan on trying to sell the cue.

In my opinion, unless your initials are NF, you should definitely do it. Should you ever decide to part with it, you are going to have a hard time getting people to believe that its a Tim Scruggs cue and you'll lose a lot in resale value. Besides, every time someone asks who made the cue, you'll have to explain the same story over and over again and you don't want that. Do you? :D

I`ve been leaning towards doing it, I've been explaining the intials for 3 years now and I do meet up with some non-believers. I shoot almost every day so the main reason I haven't done it yet is I don' want to shoot with something else for 3 weeks to a month. I guess I'll probably do it this summer when things are slow shooting wise for me. I guess I'll also get a new wrap when I send it. Any suggestions for the new wrap??? Colors? Leather?

I use a Lizard wrap on three cues of mine and really like it a lot.
Stopped playing with the Irish Linen wraps last summer.
I like the smoother wraps and would recommend a leather or lizard.

Just sell me the cue instead!

You should just sell me the cue and then you won't have to worry about a new buttcap or wrap!? :D

Here's a pic of a stacked wrap on a TS ;)
