My son loves hanging out at the brickyard billiard!

Took my 7 year old again to the Brickyard Billiard yesterday for my league night! We have a pool table at home and shoot together couple times a week! But, he loves when pack his cue and we go to the Brickyard! He shot some on the big table then, shot on the bar box.
On the way home he tells me, when he gets older he is going to make his money there!
Dad it is awesome pool tables, cues, coke and pizza and I can get good and play people for there money!

I Got a 7 year old who loves to play too. He can't play a radio yet tho but it sure is fun to teach him, or try to anyway lol. Cant wait til I can take him to the pool room and play some captains lol!

One thing you should not do is glorify the gambling, he'll end up one of those people that will think all pool is there for is to take money from someone. I love great players but I can't stand how some just plan out when and how they will make some money from whoever is around them.

I explained the whole gambling thing to my son very carefully, his goal is to be on the Mosconi Cup team and win tournaments rather than play people for money.

Exactly... Good Post. He should play the game cause he LOVES it. No different than my son playing baseball. There is no secondary concern about money, etc.. He just wants to play ball because he loves it.
