My table

Let me try and explain this as best I can without having to take my table apart to take a picture. The irons have "ears" that go into each rail. A bolt goes up through the bottom of the rail and screws into the ear. Once you screw that bolt in, the iron doesn't budge.

People keep PMing me about shimming my pockets. They just don't get it.

Bending the irons is the correct solution IMO, but they really need to be "twisted" upward. I've tried to do this and it's near impossible. There isn't much "meat" on the ears. I'm positive that they will break. I've bent and repaired (and broken) enough mold inserts to know when something is going to break. It's what I do, I'm a tool and die maker.

Hal, I hate to sound rude, but if you are a T&D guy, machining new irons would be a cake walk.

Or, cutting off of the ears of yours and resetting them at a slightly increased angle would be easy too. I know they are more than likely cheap pot metal and wont weld for crap, although they maybe TIG welded but I doubt it, but the new polyers and 2 part epoxies they have will hold up to some unreal abuse...

I would more than likely fire up the bridgeport and kick out 6 new ones out of some Cold Roll, that way you can install them and tweak them as needed.

I am assuming you only need 1/16" to 1/8" increase in angle....

Yeah, I can make them, but I'm lazy. I also don't have a lot of extra time at work. It cut's into my AZ time. I'm going to check into getting new pockets and irons. Thanks for all the comments.

New is good. If for some reason that doesn't work out perhaps you could build up your current irons on one side (top-topsinside). Just a thought. Good luck with getting it fixed, I tend to agree with your wife :)
