Kamui are sticky and they are for lazy people that dont chalk that often.

It is banned from our poolroom. I've said it before - anyone who uses Kamui chalk is a selfish person who, in using this chalk, has absolutely no concern for their fellow pool players, or the poolroom and pool tables that they play on. Keep that junk on your own home pool table!I really think Kamui chalk should be banned.
You walk into a pool hall, and just by looking at the tables you can see if someone is using kamui chalk. It leaves long lines on the table, and it leaves blue spots on the cue ball as well. It's just terrible.
I used masters, and honestly I was almost happy with it. The only problem for me was that it messed up my hand bad, it isn't very clean, at least the way I'm holding the chalk and how I apply it to the tip. I switched to blue diamond and I am sold. Absolutely no marks on the table, no blue spots on the cue ball and perfectly clean hands.
I don't see why you would pay $30 for a chalk that messes up the table this bad and the cue ball, not just for you but for your opponent as well.. It's really annoying.
I recently purchased the 1.21 (first time using kamui chalk) you guys are correct its pretty messy and soft. It would be easy to burn though the cube if your not careful too.
As per performance vs others ive tried? Seems about the same for the most part as others but i was told by a rep that if i wanted to see the best performance/less mess was to use the kamui chalk on a kamui tip ( i have an everest med) but i cant test that yet till my cue is finished being made.

The guy mentioned the tip had a certin texture in the material for the fine ground chalk to stick to better than other tips.
I dont know this is the truth but a company that sells tips and chalk designing them to work together better than others is not that far fetched.
I am going to pick up different chalk as im not happy with all the mess so far but well see if i notice a difference with their tip instead of my everest.
Going to start with magic chalk and predator.
Thanks for the suggestions!

When I first bought a Kamui 0.98 and a 1.21 together, I was really happy for a very short while. Before that I only used cheap chalk, Pioneer and Master. The Kamui gave me a lot more confidence, had to chalk my tip only about once a rack. My balls were brand new at the time, too - Aramith Tournament.
It only took about 2 weeks when I realized my table was messed up a lot more after a "Kamui session". It was a little better with the 1.21 than the 0.98 but bad enough anyway. When my balls were used for a while the Kamui(s) started to stick on those like hell, too.
I then bought some Magic Chalk - didn't trust it when I unpacked it. I thought: How is this ever going to beat Kamui in staying on for more than 1 or 2 hits. Well, it did. It actually beats Kamui - well, don't know if it really does but that is my impression. The texture is almost the exact opposite to Kamui - not creamy but rather it seems to be a bit harder than Master. It adheres well to all my cues, even the phenolic tipped break cue. And it doesn't leave a mess.
The only thing I noticed is that it does stay on (my heavily used) whitey but way less than Kamui.
I would still love to see a chalk that does not stick to the cue ball at all but to the tip perfectly. But that is probably physically not possible.
Kamui - never again. I'll stick with Magic until the ideal wonder chalk gets invented.
The cleaner your cueball the less chalk will stick to it.
