thanks i try 2 play with all of them the first 1 i dont play with that much but they all shoot greatImpressive lineup of TS cues
Tough choice to decide which one to play with, but I would
probably pick the Hoppe player as my shooter.
They all look like great cues, thanks for posting the pics.
u won't be disapointed i bout my frist t.s. in 93 never realey went to nothing eles i do have 2 phillipi 's 1 4 sale now on a to z and 1 bob frey but i love t.s. make sure u put pics up when u get it.wow. nice lineup. the 2nd cue is my favorite. love the rings in the butt. I'm awaiting arrival of my first scruggs this saturday. can't wait.
Got my scruggs compliments of JV today. What a class act. Sold it to me listed as having a roll in the butt and 1 of the 2 shafts. I gotta tell you, the thing is perfect. The butt rolls so slightly that it is barely noticeable, and I couldn't even tell which shaft was the warped one. 1 shaft at 12.75mm and 1 shaft at 12.2. Fantastic seller. If he says a cue is perfect, better believe it is straight as an arrow and untouched. thanks so much Joe.! Here are some pictures for you guys.
4 point , 4 veneer (natural, green, green, and black (in to out)).
can anyone tell me from the TS stamp on the butt cap roughly what year this cue might be froM??? thanks!
it look's like early 90's to mid 90's because 96cue's came out with the new t.s. stamp.the 80's t.s.cue's the point's did not go far up the fore arm i hope that help's that is a nice looking cue your giong to be very happy with it.i used to go down ther shop alot to see tim and mike i saw alot of great looking cue's come out of there like the 3 bline mice cue,the king fish cue,and some phatom's cue's and many more i was so lucky to know 2 of greatest cue maker's around.Got my scruggs compliments of JV today. when i got mine in 99 the first cue to the left you don't have 2 get the date on it and i stuck with the derlin instead of ivorin 3 when you got a cue from timmy you can get it made any way you like did you shoot with it yet how dose it shoot.Thanks.. I found this exert in my blue book .
"By the early 1980s, an intertwined "TS" was being stamped on the Delrin butt caps. All of Tim's cues had ivory ferrules until 1985, when he started experimenting with other materials, eventually settling on melamine, with ivory being an option until 1997, when it became standard again. Linen-based ferrules are available for those who prefer them. In 1988, Tim stopped stamping his logo on cues, and started engraving it with a pantograph. This resulted in a much clearer, more uniform logo. Some of these cues will also have a date below the logo. In 1990, Tim switched from using a lacquer finish to a much better looking polyurethane. Delrin was used for standard butt caps until 1995, when it was replaced with Ivorine 3. In 1996, Tim started adding the last two digits of the year of completion around his identification marks."
So according to your information, the TS in my cue's logo is an engraved logo from between 1988 and 1996 when he started putting the year in on both sides of it. What does a stamped logo look like? Can anyone show me a photo of a Scruggs cue they have from before 1988? This sort of makes sense because the ferrules are definetely melamine and not ivory.

I've probably put about 10 hours on it since I got it Saturday. Has replaced my Buss as my playing cue for now. The standard 58'' suits me much better than the 59.5'' Buss. Also find it very easy to control speed. Not really sure what type of tip it has right now but it's wearing thin. Think I'm going to take it up to Tiger soon and get an everest or a sniper put on it.
