My Varney "Very" Sneaky - Tiger X shaft with no markings and with a slightly smaller taper (almost 314 like), Ivorine 4 ferrule and a Sniper tip.

It took a little while to get use to the Tiger X shaft but after I did I felt like I couldn't miss. (And didn't! Came back from 5-1 to win 7-5!)

It shoots by itself! Just aim and fire!

WOW.

I just bought a new sneaky with 3/8-10 pin with a Tiger-X shaft. Mine doesn't have the Tiger logo on it either. The hit is very solid and stiff. I was used to a stiff hitting cue so I love it.

...and when you say "very sneaky", you mean not 'sneaky' in any way. Right? And I don't know if I would claim that it had no markings if it has an ivorine joint and brown phenolic bands above and below.

Nice cue though.

I'm not trying to fool anyone into thinking it's a house cue - people aren't that naive any more anyway.

I think it's very Sneaky 'cause without the markings people think it's a regular shaft and not a Tiger shaft. Plus it's a little "more"...has that little extra oomph...than Mr. Varney's normal Sneaky. So it's "very" Sneaky.

That's my story and I'm sticking with it.

I have to say that I like the Tiger shaft over a Pred shaft. Pred's make a funny noise and seems 'dead' in terms of feedback and hit. This has more life to it but, you know, it's probably the cue.

Nice to load the cueball up with english and just slap it toward the pocket...and it goes in...no aiming for compensation. Sweet!!!;)
