So how "custom" can a sneaky pete get? I'm sure much more, but when I had Scott Whisler build this cue, he EXCEEDED every expectation I had with finish and feel.

Here is the description and pics:

This “sneaky pete” cue is built using Scott Whisler’s true finger jointed full splice. No dowel or joint pin is used to hold the sections together. Finger jointed full splicing is the only true full splice which ensures razor sharp points on both upward and downward points. (no bottom “flats” like some full splice methods- see pictures below)

Cue description:

Solid cocobolo butt, full spliced into ebony, then full spliced again into birds-eye maple. (ebony is solid piece, not glued veneers) The elephant ivory joint is flanked by black phenolic collars, and features a gold plated uni-loc joint pin. This cue has two shafts (13 mm) with elephant ivory ferrules, and Hercules tips with fiber pads. Shafts were custom tapered to customer specs. Cue weight is 20.5 oz. A full set ( 2 shaft, 1 butt ) of cocobolo joint protectors with high gloss finish are included with cue. Joint protectors feature G-10 glass epoxy pins, milled to uni-loc specs, and coated to prevent abrasion.

Nice looking simple cue.
I think nowadays it is pretty hard to find cuemakers who will still make full spliced sneaky petes themselves.
Might consider getting one from Mr Whisler soon. ;)

Sup Tank! :D That's a really nice sneaky pete you have to go with that really nice D. Swift of yours. LOL! I still drool at the pics every now and then. :p

Beauty...
I've never had the pleasure of hitting with a Whistler.
How's the hit?
ruk

Very SOLID with little deflection. It really does hit very similar to my Samsara, possibly even better, just need some more "stick" time. I can't convey how happy I am with this cue, I am still surprised about how well it feels/hits and how incredible it looks, the pics just don't do it justice.
