I bought this cue a while back and I thought it might be a cheap import but now I'm not so sure, the points are nicely done,it's got an old school Bushka brown bumper that screws into the weight bolt, the leather wrap is really done well and the rings are nickel silver, any ideas?

"possibly an early Jerry Rauenzahn cue

That's interesting, BTW the shaft pictured is a predator shaft, I didn't have the original with me when I took the pictures. I think this cue is fairly old

Please help me, even if you think it is a piece of junk import at least it will give me some idea

Thanks, I think I will try to contact Jerry Rauenzahn to see if he recognizes it unless you think it might be a cue from his catalog

I have never seen Jerry -R-'s ring work at the joint look like this one. His black linen is usually 0.375", then the nickel/silver ring, followed by a 0.125" black linen ring. I'm not saying it isn't his work, however the ring work does not look like any I have seen before. How many veneers are used in each side? It looks like only 2, maple and black. Is this correct?

Yes 2 maple and black, I just got an email back from Jerry R saying that it was not one of his, so you are correct. Still trying to figure out who made it, any ideas?
