What happened to the thread (2 mos ago?) that asked about the NUTS?

I have not heard anything about any tour, other than Planet-Pool, holding an event. IIRC, there was also supposed to be a National event. The NUTS is quiet...what is the status?

Here is a quick recap. The NUTS in in it's 1st year and we are still fine tuning things. Only qualified players get mail outs regarding the NUTS events as of yet. We have also given the NUTS qualified players several FREE entries and accomodations to events.

So far we have sent players to the Glass City Open, the BCA National Championships (9-Ball Events and 1-Pocket Event) with free entry fees. We have also sent players to the Derby City Classic and they received free entries to all 3 event plus we took care of all the room expenses thanks to Greg Sullivan and The Derby City Classic. Additional packages were also won by players which include paid entry fees into Tiger-Planet pool events and Viking Tour events.

We have several other things in the works with the NUTS program. As soon as they are finalized we will send out a press release.

Also, I would like to thank, Mark Griffin for the BCA Pool League, Greg Sullivan from the Derby City Classic, Tom Gearhart from the Glass City Open, Nick Prinslo from the Tiger Planet-Pool Tour, Mike Zuglan from the Joss Tour and Me (Mike Janis) from the Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour for their contributions and support of the N.U.T.S.

I was just wondering the other day about this also. When the NUTS sends players to events you should post this so we all know the positive contributions the NUTS is making to pool.

N.U.T.S.- Where are they? They WERE banned.

Thanks for the input, Mike!

Nick's events are the only ones that I've heard of and I am going to be a "qualified player", if last year's regional qualifiers are to be considered.

I love the idea put forth by the NUTS scenario- it creates somewhat of a team competition, based on geographic locale- I think it provides an excellent competition strategy not found elsewhere.

And, Morton! Thanks for passing up the 'if they were on your chin...' retort!
