N.VA. AZ Get Together

I have met and played with several AZ members in the N. VA. area. I was wondering if anyone would like to make it a regular thing. I have had several AZ members from out of town over to my house to play and have enjoyed meeting and playing pool with them. jaz from NY will be down this weekend. McDogit met me last Saturday and we played for about 5 hours. It is always an enjoyable experience. The love of the game is the only requirement.

My shooting partner and I are up for playing with you champions again this weekend (and in the future). I learned a lot playing 1-hole with Don last weekend...for instance:

1) how beer should be drunk outta a big jug
2) Don explained how all the nicks, dings, and bumps on my shaft remind him of VD, thereby educating me on what to look out for
3) elderly gentlemen struggle with playing issues that "younger" players like myself aren't even aware of - such as fecal incontinence - and their wives calling them all the time, presumably to make sure they haven't lingered over to a gentleman's club

seriously though, it was a lot of lighthearted fun and Don plays real good for a decrepit old man =) his frailness doesn't prevent him from being real strong at talking smack either

I think it might have something to do with the way he mainlines beer...he actually fired at our hole in 1 pocket!! :D :D

How was I suppose to know that the beer mugs held 1 gallon of beer in that place. I only had four. Did you hear Paul when we paid the check. I asked him how much it was and he said, " Dam , you drank $56 worth of beer." I usually don't drink when we play 1 hole. Ya know something else, I hate paying table time when I got a jam up table at home.

I am in Leesburg, VA. 20175. I like to play at Champions in Frederick when I gotta pay. Very nice place and tables. We can go to Maryland too buddy. Maybe get together a couple times a month or more. I was at Popes Creek Sunday. Crabs is my thing!
