What type of cue has a wizard on the butt cap? A customer asked me today and I am drawing a blank. (I need to get out of the shop more often) I know that I know it. Thanks.
I think it was a Weir. It was purportedly a custom cue, but I seem to remember some controversy about who actually made the cues. Someone can probably shed some more light on this. Or not.
When I was 16 I won my first tournament and ran out and bought a stick, it had a wizard on the but cap. I cant remember the brand name but I remember it having a huge rubber bumper. When you dropped the cue it would bounce forever. Definitely not a high end cue but it played fine for the beginner I was at the time. I bought it from a pool table/swimming pool store call Coral Isle in Binghamton NY.
with Chris that it is, indeed, a Crystal Leisure cue. I have a soft cue case by Crystal Leisure, and for $30 that I paid for it, has been a good case.
The soft case has pockets like a hard case, little pocket has 2 sections, and big pocket is big enough for jump cue butt. It has the wizard embroidered on the small pocket with the wizard pull tabs for the zippers, and Chris, mine have never broken. For convenience's sake, it was a good buy for $30.
