My buddy and fellow AZ'er found this shaft in his closet and can't remember what it goes to. We aren't quite sure what joint it is. I would guess a 5/16-14 or 18. Please chime in.

The first pic looks like a old indy car wheel , the next pic
i'm not sure . Hopes this helps . Rob

Get a pair of calipers and measure the I.D.

It looks like a 5/16x18 joint to me, but could be one of those oddballs from a cheap cue.

you could go to the nearest hardware store, grab a 5/16 -18 bolt and try to screw it on.

Freddie <~~~ looks like a Meucci

I would say it is an 18. I an 100% sure it is not a 14.

When I first saw the collar of the shaft in the second picture, my first thought was an older Meucci shaft as well. He and I may be wrong, but that's what my first thought was. [joke] see if it's flexible like a wet noodle, if so it may be an old Meucci shaft [/joke]

Dopc.

I would also guess 5/16-18, but it doesn't look like my old Meucci. On mine the flange of the insert is much smaller.

All joking aside, not all old Meucci cues are whippy. My S/P is stiff and remains straight after 20+ years. That's why I keep it.
