Ohhhh real Mahjong ferrule... JV

Old Mahjong tiles were made of Ivory. I have a few pieces myself from an old set that my family had. We used to play blocks with it :)

I do have to say though that it looks like pretty good shaftwood selection used in that cue. At least the top one.

I bet you could go into any action poolhall and have everyone fighting to play you when you pull out that cue. Even better, carry it in a pink case or something.

A $5 flea market Budweiser cue with a Meucci (same thread 5/16 x 18) red dot shaft works well ... not that I would ever do that of course :)

That other cue design will appeal to someone though ;)

Looks like a $hitty copy of TW's "disintigrating cue".

Mahjong...interesting. It's doubtful that many of these cheap customs coming out of the Phillippines have actual elephany ivory. It's probably some kind of bone or walrus ivory.

Thats the first thing I thought TW 'disintigrating cue". Not even a close copy. I think TW is on another level when it comes to intricate inlaying.
