I have a friend with an antique National 3 Cushion Billiard Table. It looks to have been made in the late 1800's. Can anyone tell me the profile of rubber used on that table?

I can't tell you the profile. Most older tables used K55 but that would be a guess for your table.

What I'd do is is convert to European. On my old Brunswick I had a master cabnet maker cut my original liner to the European profile. The other way is to remove your liner and replace it with a new European liner and rubber.

PM me with an address and I can send you a piece of liner that you can have someone copy if you're interested. It will also tell you if the top of the rubber will be high and what other modifications may be required.
