National day of Billiards/Pool

They have a day for everything else why cant we start with something doesn't have to start big.

We pick a day everyone get as many people as possible go out to their favorite room and or favorite pro shop or even web store spend a few dollars

If you really want to get crazy call a old friend or find a new one and introduce them to this wonderful game

Love to hear your thoughts
 
I like the idea. Not sure where you start with that, tho?

Does anyone know if Romney likes to hit balls from time to time? It would be nice if we had someone in a high office that could push the agends.

Pool players are constituents too, ya know. ;)
 
A pool greats Birthday is a great place to start

I was involved when the marina industry started national marina day it took 5 years or so to get it some what organized then some of the big guys get involved and of it goes

I wouldn't expect much the first year that's why I think get some thing started in the next couple months get your local pool rooms leagues and retailers involved. Maybe we could get inside pool involved have a contest for the best day do have it and boom, Got to start somewhere

We can start our on grass roots pool party :grin:
 
As one of the 2 founding members of the Blue Cloth Party, I move that the weekend closest to June 8th be set aside for National Pool/Billiards Weekend throughout the U.S.A.

All halls and parlors are to be open for the complete 24 hour period. All tables are to be unlocked/free of table time.

Money added tournaments are strongly encouraged. Instructors are advised to offer free clinics for budding amateurs.

What say ye?

I have been thinking about this for over 6months and after meeting today with one of or local retailers Eric Decious of Billiard Factory and seeing how pumped up he is to help put this game/sport back up to the top and the things he is doing for our local area to make it happen
it pushed me over the edge

I like the way you think

Not to take away from this site but like the facebook page and put your suggestions on it. If we can get enough interested it will be great ammunition
