So with so many leagues out there...do you think players would play in a league as just a cash league...no national event prize....figuring the cash could help offset the costs to nationals the player may win in other leagues?

Cash. I could give a crap about a national league playoff/tourny/etc.

Some time ago, I would have voted league. Team event for the nationals, the camaraderie, pretty good stuff.
Fast forward to today. After the drama and handicap BS in my local league these past couple of seasons (BCA league, to boot), I'm voting cash.
And I can always buy my own way if I want to play in the nationals...

Not sure if I entirely understand your question. I get cash when we win which helps pay for Vegas. The national tournament is what I am playing for. Its not like I am a rich dude but I don't want for much so the cash doesn't mean a whole lot to me. I like playing on a team and I like the national tournament. Getting to go to Vegas with a group of friends (my team) and having a blast is awesome. Now if I could just figure out how to win cities more often....

I agree. It's one thing to be able to buy into a tournament, if your funds allow it. It's another to know that you won your way into it. FWIW, I play both BCA and APA and enjoy them for different reasons. Now interested in this ABCL thing.
