NCAA status?

If the Harry Potter game becomes and NCAA sport what is stopping the BCA or APA from working on getting billiards made in to an NCAA sport? This is a move that is long overdue. There are college tournaments but it needs to be an officially recognized sport.

The answer is simple of course. In your Quidditch example, you have people who are passionate enough to actually read up on how to qualify as an NCAA sport and then start the process (even though it of course will never be recognized as a sport). Pool on the other hand is so disorganized that there isn't a men's tour and there's barely a women's tour. But you know what? The NCAA should recognize pool as a sport because dammit, pool deserves it.

Billiards IS and HAS BEEN for some time a ACUI sport.
The ACUI is the Association of College Unions International.
They hold regular tournaments on colleges and universities as well as regional and national competitions.

I am aware of this fact, but that does not hold the same weight as being an NCAA sport. Bass fishing has risen to that status I see no reason why billiards can't do the same.
